Taqueria Salsa on Delta Fair Blvd in Antioch stands out as a lively spot for those seeking straightforward, satisfying Mexican fare in a casual setting. The restaurant feels larger than its exterior hints, featuring two separate entrances—one dedicated to pickup orders and another for dining in—streamlining the flow for both quick takeout runs and sit-down meals.

Inside, the atmosphere carries a festive, colorful vibe that leans into traditional Mexican decor without feeling overdone. It’s the kind of place where families, local workers grabbing a quick bite, and taco aficionados mix comfortably. Ordering is done at the counter, which encourages a relaxed, no-fuss experience. You then take a seat wherever you like and wait for your meal, which arrives promptly and plated generously.

The menu focuses on classic Mexican staples with notable highlights like the tortilla soup, crunchy tacos paired with beef enchiladas, and a range of hearty burritos including the carne asada super burrito, known for being grilled over coals—a detail locals appreciate for its authentic flavor. For those who like a bit of variety and spiciness, the salsa bar offers a broad selection of salsas and chilies to customize each bite, making it easy to dial the heat up or down.

This spot tends to draw in regulars who know the quality remains consistent, whether dining in or taking food to go. It’s approachable for a quick weekday lunch but can also work for casual dinners when you want satisfying, no-pretense Mexican food served with friendly, efficient service. If you’re visiting on Taco Tuesday or just in the mood for a flavorful taco, trying the crispy tacos comes recommended by several patrons for their texture and taste.

Overall, Taqueria Salsa is best for anyone craving authentic Mexican dishes in a colorful yet casual environment. It fits well into Antioch’s dining scene as a reliable choice for substantial portions and a vibrant salsa bar, making it a natural stop for locals and visitors alike throughout the day.

The place is bigger than it looks from the outside. There’s two entrances, one for pick-up and the other for the main dining. The restaurant is so festive, very colorful decorations. When you walk in you order at the counter and pay for your food, then you can sit at any available table you choose. The food is delicious. I ordered the Carne Asada dinner plate. The plate was huge. My steak was cooked perfectly, it was tender and flavorful, not dry at all (as some can be cooked dry). My friend ordered a veggie burrito which I kept looking at because it looked good as well. That burrito was fat! We could not get enough of their chips and salsa, it tasted so fresh. The price for the amount of food you get is just right. The staff were friendly and polite. Oh I almost forgot when you come to the restaurant don’t forget to order a Michelada they make it very good and serve it looking pretty in a tall glass. We enjoyed our food while listening to great music. Can’t wait to go back.

Wanted to try out some new tacos for Taco Tuesday and this place is highly rated. I tried a carne asada and al pastor taco and asked for spicy salsa on the side. The tacos were pretty good. The carne asada was tender but I felt like both could have used a bit more flavor. As I waited for my food I saw a table get the crispy tacos and I definitely have to check those out on my next visit!

I grew up going to this place, and even after I’ve moved away, I always make a point to go there when I come back to visit my folks. The food is excellent, the service is always great, and whether you eat there or pick up takeout, you won’t regret it!

In my humble opinion this is the best Mexican food in the area and our area has a lot of great Mexican food. I also get the carne asada super burrito and they are one of the few who cook it right, over coals. This place is a must, you won’t be disappointed!

My mom hipped me to this restaurant and I loved it. Only ate there once but it was great, my new favorite Mexican restaurant. If you are in the area definitely check this place out.

came here for lunch had 2 steak tacos and 1 chicken and a mango drink was $20. i think thats a little over priced for 3 tacos and drink. service was decent although workers act like they are super busy and rush you through the ordering process. atmosphere was great.
